Normandy Coast and WWII

This summer, my family spent a wonderful ten days traveling around the Normandy coast of France. It was only intended to be a vacation, but I came back inspired to write two new stories set in this lovely location! Look for a Travel Can Be Murder cozy mystery set here sometime next year! The second novel will remain a mystery for a while longer 🙂

Here is a brief look at this fascinating region on the west coast of France.

Mont Saint Michel is a must-see if you are visiting the area…

As are the D-Day beaches and the many monuments to the second world war…

And along the way you will pass through many adorable seaside villages…

With incredibly old and beautiful buildings…

And you might even end up walking the same beaches a famous artist once painted – like we ended up doing when we stopped off at Etretat and feasted our eyes on the same white-cliff faces and arches that Claude Monet memorialized in several of his paintings.

It was a great trip! Happy and safe travels, dear readers.
